With IMKS, plastic and metal are processed in a molding process on conventional injection molding machines. This is made possible by process and aggregate techniques developed by Krallmann specifically for this purpose, and which are protected by patents. In this process, the metal component is injected onto the plastic component. This ensures a reliable, direct contact for electronic components such as LEDs or resistors. This novel and innovative production technology for articles containing both metals and plastics offers the user many benefits: Apart from these powerful advantages in the production process, IMKS has also proven itself to be an impressive option in product design and development. The geometry of the metal components can be designed with a great degree of freedom. Their electrical conductivity significantly exceeds those of plastic compounds. At the same time, we can assume absolute reproducibility where conductivity is concerned. Numerous everyday articles are proof of the highly creative design options made possible by the IMKS process.
